IgNite started life as a custom written utility MAXScript for a production studio, bringing together as many repetitive and useful tools and scripts found scattered throughout 3ds Max. By organising them into one UI, it became a timesaver for 3D artists, working to tight deadlines. As bosses and producers may point out...
Now many years on, we've continued to follow this methodology but naturally have expanded out into other complementary plugins, forming the IgNite collection. As explained above, it's designed for busy 3D artists who like to be organised and have things accessible and at hand. We believe the IgNite plugin is useful to all 3D artists, generalists and animators.
IgNite Springboard is part of the IgNite collection of utility plugins. The collection is sold as one product.
Fun fact - the demand for IgNite started the SiNi company!
IgNite, or Springboard as it sometimes gets called, was the catalyst for starting SiNi. The busy production studio where it was first created employed many freelancers, who kept getting in touch, post-contract, to ask if they could get the Springboard MAXScript for their use, as it had become a valuable go-to tool. Naturally, this led to a Eureka moment and SiNi was formed.
